Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, growing up in low-income housing projects, fatherless and having lost his mother to HIV/AIDS when he was a senior in high school and watched his brother spend most of his life in Georgia’s penal system, IronE still overcame his troubled childhood to attend Kentucky State University and the University of Georgia (UGA) on academic and football scholarships where he lettered and completed a double major in Theatre and Speech Communications while serving as a member of Thalian Blackfriars and president of the Black Theatrical Ensemble. 

IronE received a Doctorate of Philosophy in Humanitarianism , Honoris Causa and was awarded the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for his great humanitarian efforts as an artist (actor, author, musician and motivational speaker) known around the world.

IronE is an international celebrity and acting coach and has had the opportunity to work with the biggest names in showbiz and has been interviewed by the most popular media publications around the world while sharing his message of truth & love.
